Founded in 2007 by Artistic Directors Tessa Lang and Johannes Schwaiger, Dreamgates Children's Movement is a New York 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that operates under the foundational belief that communication is the essence of all meaningful and successful communities and relationships. In service of that belief, we produce performing arts events and educational programming that offer children and young adults professional performance experience. All events and programs are in service of making substantial and lasting contributions to the future of children, our youth and their communities in an open and nurturing environment. Freeing the creative spirit of children, through the use of voice and song, moves a spontaneous feeling of inner calm and strength, and gives the necessary velocity for vision and the achievement of goals. Dreamgates is dedicated to inspiring and enriching the lives of children of every socio-economic background, transcending diversity, and fostering unity and peace worldwide. Our teaching methods address the importance of vocal production that enhance self-expression and communication skills. Dreamgates Children’s Movement is accredited by the New York State Board of Education. www.dreamgates.org
