This advanced master class will explore the delicate balance between masculine and feminine energy in the voice.  Through a detailed navigation of the structural elements of the voice and body, this course will provide each participant with the opportunity to gain a practical understanding of how masculine/feminine energy flows through his/her instrument, and how to physically recognize when those energies are in or out of balance. 

Throughout the weekend, Tessa and Johannes will also address the spiritual and emotional substrates connected with the physical realignment and redistribution of energy connected with this particular voice work.  While this course will introduce several intellectual and spiritual theories of the energetic relationship between the masculine/feminine, the main goal of this master class is to provide participants with the visceral experience of balancing these two energies in the voice, through song.  Participants will be asked to bring one or two monologues/songs to work on over the course of the weekend. Through the voice, this material will serve as a vehicle for exploration and discovery.

Class will be limited to 10 participants to ensure an intimate classroom experience and plenty of one on one work.  While this course has been designed as an advanced master class, singing/ previous voice training is not a pre-requisite to enrollment.
